Costa Rica

A country with some of the greatest biodiversity in the world. Costa Rica is located in Central America between the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. It’s known for its active volcanoes, rain-forests, and abundance of wildlife. 915 bird species have been recorded in Costa Rica, more than all of the USA, and Canada combined.

I drove from San Jose up to Arenal, and down the western coast through Jaco, Quepos, and Uvita. Adopted sisters I never had, and went on a road trip adventure around parts of the country.

Arenal Volcano located in the north western region, is one of six active volcanoes.

I visited a natural hot spring river called the Rio Chollin. Soaking in hot mineral water, underneath the rain-forest canopy, while listening to a symphony of wildlife is an unforgettable experience. I loved this place so much, I went back a few times.
